Candle care
Please store your candles away from direct sunlight – soy wax will sweat and melt in higher temperatures (we suggest storing just like you would chocolate).
To ensure the most longevity from your candle, always burn it long enough for the wax to melt to the side of the glass, but not for more than about 4 hours at a time.
Always trim the burnt curly part of the wick before re-lighting the candle - not doing this can cause black soot to come from burning your wick which will adhere to the glass jar, but will also cause a larger flame which will burn up your candle faster.
Important - Do not burn the candle with less than 1cm of wax in the bottom as this can heat up the glass jar and cause it to crack.
Leather care
Outcrop Australia cuffs comprise of 100% cowhide leather with a 100% leather lining. Stitching around the outer edge of the cuff provides extra stability to the leather. Our buckles are nickel & lead free.
Store our leather and cowhide products in a clean, dry place, preferable flat or rolled (do not fold as this will leave a permanent mark in the leather)
The best way to care for your leather cuff is to keep it out of water. Leather will fade over time, especially when exposed to sunlight. The leather will take on a beautiful aged patina over time and may stretch slightly. Leather conditioner and cleaner can be used on the leather products but not on the hairy cowhide products.
Hair-on cowhide should be brushed to remove dirt and dust. These cowhides can also be cleaned with a clean damp cloth but be careful not to wet the leather. A suede & nubuck water proofer may be sprayed onto our cowhide cuffs, and leather water proofers can be sprayed onto our leather cuffs however we strongly recommend you keep the cuffs out of water and rain as much as possible, to ensure the freshness and longevity of your item.
